NXT LIL' LAX QUEENS

Welcome to NXT Lil' Lax Queens Summer Program, where rising PreK-3rd grade (2036-2040) girls learn to rule the game and reign the field with confidence and joy! Through fun drills, team play, and exciting games, young athletes build lacrosse skills, make friends, and grow their love for the game. Whether they’re picking up a stick for the first time or already chasing goals, every queen starts here!

 

Dates: Monday, June- 1, 8, 15, 22

Time: 5:30-6:45 PM 

Ages: Rising PreK-3rd Grade (2036-2040) 

Location: West Chester Henderson- Schramm Grass Field (745 Lincoln Avenue, West Chester, PA 19380)

Cost: 5 total program hours for $125

Curriculum

 

Week 1 Focus | Cradling, Stick Handling, Footwork

  • Learn grip and cradling mechanics
  • How to maintain control of the ball at different speeds

 

Week 2 Focus | Ground Balls and Scooping Mechanics

  • Learn proper ground ball mechanics and form from stationary to on the move
  • Practice communication with teammates on the field

 

Week 3 Focus | Shooting mechanics, Accuracy, Power Foot, Aiming

  • Learn power foot and following through
  • Practice shooting and passing
  • Learn roll dodge and stutter-step

 

Week 4 Focus | Defensive Footwork & Team Defense

  • Learn defensive stance, “foot fire,” and quick-change agility
  • Practice defensive positioning and awareness
  • Practice communication and teamwork on the defensive side of the ball
